BeginnerFrom your first riding experience, we start with sitting trot until the rising trot has been established and riding off the lead rein in the school in walk and trot. Able to run up stirrup irons. Know basic vocabulary. |
NoviceDeveloping sitting and rising trot, learning diagonals, learning to canter. Trotting poles. Able to tighten the girth Ready to ride out, when approved, on one hour treks. Able to untack under supervision and put on a headcollar. Able to do basic grooming and pick out feet under supervision |
Advanced NoviceRiding with more polish and style, developing canter, the use of half halt and rein effects. Developing a Classical seat for lateral work. Preparation for jumping, learning half seat, and to jump small jumps (optional). Able to ride out on hacks when canter is established. Able to alter stirrups and tighten girth unaided. Capable of mounting and dismounting without supervision Able to groom and tack up correctly. Career students |

Pinetrees offers a broad range of riding lessons in small groups, from child or adult beginners to advanced dressage lessons or jumping.
INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
Some riders prefer a one-to-one approach with Pinetrees trained assistant instructors. Safety, progress and fun is our motto.
LESSON WITH BEV
I enjoy helping you improve your riding whatever your level or objective, with a strong emphasis on gaining a classical seat and flowing in harmony with the horse. Perhaps try a Lusitano? Bring your phone to film the moment! Novices 30 mins. €60. Advanced 60 mins €80
JUMPING
Group lessons for riders who are secure in their seat in canter and ready to develop their balance and harmony over poles and practice jumps. Improve your technique for riding a course of jumps.
THE PINETREES EXPERIENCE
Ideal horse riding experience for those new to riding and rusty riders. Get to know your horse, feel more at ease and improve your skills for the first half in the arena before riding out on a nature walk.
LUNGE — SADDLE OR BLANKET
Private lessons on the lunge are the most valuable of lessons for riders of all levels, whether with a saddle or with the blanket and roller technique.
